Manchester Woman Charged With Drunken Driving ... At A Liquor Store

ASHFORD, CT — A Manchester woman was charged with driving under the influence after a crash at a liquor store in Ashford, state police said.

According to a state police arrest report, the incident took place at 5:20 p.m. at Ashford Wine and Spirits on Route 44.

State police tracked down one of the vehicles involved and the driver, a 28-year-old Manchester woman, failed a sobriety test, according to an arrest report. She was charged with unsafe backing, driving under the influence and driving without a license.

She posted a $5,000 bond and is slated to appear in court on March 14, state police said.
