Manchester Woman Killed In I-84 Pedestrian Crash
A pedestrian was struck by a car on a stretch of highway in Hartford Tuesday night, state police said.

HARTFORD, CT — A Manchester woman was killed late Tuesday night in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 84, police said.
The crash took place on the eastbound portion of the highway in Hartford at 11:55 p.m. A 2009 Ford Focus driven by a 31-year-old Hartford man was traveling in the right center lane in the five-lane stretch of road just before the Exit 48 A and B ramps, according to a crash report.
The car hit a pedestrian, identified as 33-year-old Melissa Doyle, of Manchester, state police said. According to a crash report, she was standing on the highway in the right center lane. State police said Doyle was taken to an area Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford refused medical attention at the scene, according to a crash report.
State police are asking that anyone who may have seen the crash or has dashboard camera images of the incident to contact them at the Troop H barracks, 860-534-1000.
