Manchester Woman Robbed Lord & Taylor: Trumbull PD
The woman actively resisted after she took items, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Manchester woman was charged with robbery after she forcefully resisted being apprehended after stealing a camera from Lord and Taylor, according to police.
A female and male entered the store on March 20, 2016 and the male gave the female a camera to put in a bag.
The male got into the car and the female, later identified as Safari Carr, 21 resisted being stopped by security, police said.

During the struggle Carr dropped a bag, but managed to enter the vehicle and escape. The value of stolen items was $346.
Carr dropped a driver's license during the struggle, police said. They traced it back to another woman who claimed her licence was lost in Manchester. Police in Manchester confirmed the woman's story and the woman said she suspected a friend took it.

Police placed together security video, previous booking photos and other information to pin Carr as the suspect.
Manchester Police picked up Carr on a failure to appear warrant after a motor vehicle stop and turned her over to Trumbull authorities. She is charged with second-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.
