Manchester Woman Was High on Narcotics With Kids in Her Vehicle During I-84 Crash: Warrant

The crash took place nearly a year ago, according to law enforcement documents.

MANCHESTER/VERNON, CT — State police have accused a Manchester woman of being high on PCP and another drug when her vehicle collided with another nearly a year ago on Interstate-84.

The crash took place at 8:23 p.m. on Nov. 6, 2015 on I-84 just east of the Exit 64 ramps, according to an arrest warrant.

Tanisha Drawhorn, 40, of Manchester, was arrested on a warrant Oct. 26, state police said. She was charged with driving under the influence, narcotics possession, risk of injury to a child, a lane violation and a signal violation, state police said.

The force of the crash caused the vehicles to spin out, according to an arrest warrant. Children were in the vehicle without the proper restraint system, according to an arrest warrant.

A trooper suspected she was on PCP, according to an arrest warrant. A urine test was ordered by an attending doctor after the crash and PCP and and Benzodiazepine were detected in Drawhorn's system, according to an arrest warrant.
