Martial Arts Saves Lives!

Students support their community by coming out to donate blood

On Saturday, 11/11/17, the The Academy of Martial Arts & Personal Development teamed up with the American Red Cross to host a Blood Drive.

The drive was an overwhelming success, and we exceeded their collection goal which was 25 units. These units of blood will help save up to 84 lives and ensure a readily available supply of blood for hospital patients in our community and across the country. The Red Cross and the Academy would like to thank all of the donors, who are true heroes.

An increasingly popular reason for enrolling children in the martial arts is to develop "Life Skills" in the students. The skills include discipline, self control, patience, confidence, courage, tolerance, honesty, respect and integrity among others. Training in a quality martial arts school reinforces those character building qualities that are timeless and transcend all cultural boundaries.
