I am constantly being asked why I see so many difficult mortgage transactions. The answers are simple, first I love the challenge and second, many loan officers just don’t want to do loans at take more work. It is my responsibility to obtain a mortgage for everyone that deserves to own a home.
The truth is I do plenty of “normal” mortgages, can find each of them the best possible interest rates available, but how about everyone else. There are so many folks that I talk to, day in and day out, that just don’t know what they should do to be financeable. I can also tell you, there is no particular income group.

I recently got a referral from a Realtor in Florida, who needed a 2.5 million dollar mortgage and didn’t have good credit scores. This was not income or down payment issues, so even this type of borrower can have credit score issues. It will take a few months to make this borrower financeable, but the two banks that he went to, just turned him down, rather than figuring out how to fix the problem.

The bottom line, I’m willing to take on the challenge, no matter what it is. Everyone deserves hope and everyone that wants to own a home should have that chance.
