Ms. Kassandra Cruz Promoted to Associate Instructor

Martial arts student earns Black Belt and Instructor rank

The Academy of Martial Arts and Personal Development, Manchester, CT, is proud to announce that one our newly promoted Black Belts in Daehanmoodo, Ms. Kassandra Cruz, was also promoted to the rank of Associate Instructor.

KyoSaNim Cruz, 19, began her training at the Academy 5 years ago. When she first started, self-confidence was her biggest struggle. “I always walked around with my head down”, she says. “I never imagined that I would be standing here, with a Black Belt around my waist and the role of Associate Instructor. The Academy is like a second home.”

Ms. Cruz credits credits her training at the Academy with giving her the tools she needed to overcome her struggles. “The focus and the self-discipline I learned at the Academy over the last 5 years has made a world of difference for me, both academically and professionally.” Ms. Cruz is an Instructor for one of the Academy's Junior martial arts classes, as well as a Staff member of the Academy's After-School Martial Arts Program.

Over the course of the 20 years the Academy has been open, 6,000 students from age 2 to 80 have come through its doors. The Academy offers martial art and personal development classes for children, teens and adults. Course offering include: Taekwondo, Hapkido, DaeHanMooDo, Cardio-Kickboxing and its newest offering, the “Train Like a Jedi” program. The Academy of Martial Arts is dedicated to empowering its students with family oriented programs set in a positive atmosphere of excitement and fun.
