New Lease on Business for Manchester Burger Restaurant

New sons-and-father owners have scheduled a grand opening for the local BurgerFi.

MANCHESTER, CT — BurgerFi, a nationwide fast casual restaurant chain, has scheduled fun grand opening ceremonies featuring free promotions in Avon and Manchester.

The locations are newly owned and operated by the Kumar family­, a father-and-two-son team.

“My family and I are thrilled to have taken over both the Avon and Manchester BurgerFi locations to help re-introduce the community to our unrivaled better burger offerings in a fun, family dining experience” said franchise owner Sabi Kumar. “With my father and brother by my side, we look forward to putting smiles on guest’s faces with our modern twist to great-tasting food.”

Manchester and Avon will be celebrating weekend-long festivities and giveaways from 11 a.m. to closing each day.

  • Manchester BurgerFi, located at 1062 Tolland Turnpike, will celebrate May 12 through 14.
  • Avon BurgerFi, located at 380 West Main Street, Suite B-3, will celebrate May 19 through 21.

Here is the schedule of events for both weekends:

Friday: Free Fry-Day Friday: Customers can enjoy a free order of French fries from 11 a.m. to closing with purchase.

The first 50 guests will receive a free BurgerFi cheeseburger (double cheeseburger with no substitutions)

Saturday:

  • Free cheeseburger giveaway: The first 100 guests to arrive will receive a free cheeseburger (double cheeseburger with no substitutions).
  • After the 100th guest, $5 cheeseburgers will be offered all day
  • Live music from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Sunday:

  • Free Sundae Sunday: Guests will receive a free sundae with purchase from 11 a.m. to close with purchase
  • The first 50 guests will receive a free BurgerFi cheeseburger (double cheeseburger with no substitutions).
  • Face painting and balloon artists 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Both Avon and Manchester BurgerFi’s will donate a percentage of their Sunday’s sales to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help achieve their mission to defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. BurgerFi announced a partnership earlier this year with St. Jude where they donate $1 from each featured shake purchased from their rotating menu of seasonal flavors.
