Overturned Dump Truck Spills Sand, Cement On Highway In Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — A dump truck rolled over at a highway interchange in Manchester late Monday morning.

The crash took place at 11 a.m. at the entrance to Interstate 84 west from I-291 east in Manchester, state police said.

Manchester fire officials said the truck spilled 12 yards of dry cement and sand onto the pavement.

One person was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries, state police said.

The ramp to I-84 west was shut down for cleanup, state police said.
