Parents Claim Bullying Taking Place at Manchester Schools

School officials say students being bullied need to report the incidents immediately in order for action to be taken.

MANCHESTER, CT - Several parents of Manchester students expressed their concerns about bullying at a Board of Education meeting Monday night, the Journal Inquirer reported.

One mother said her son has been abused, both physically and verbally, at Washington Elementary School, and other parents have reported similar abuse to her, the JI said.

The father of a middle school student also spoke about harassment his daughter receives.

Board of Education chairman Christopher Pattacini said any incidents of bullying need to be reported to a teacher or school administrator at the time of occurrence.
