Pedestrian Struck By Car In Manchester Thursday: Cops

MANCHESTER, CT — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Manchester Thursday evening, police said.

The collision took place just after 6 p.m. on Center Street near the Manchester Superior Court building, police said.

Center Street was closed for some time in the area while police investigated the scene of the crash.

According to a crash report released Thursday night, at 6:12 p.m. Manchester police officers responded to the area of 410 Center St. after receiving a report about a motor vehicle collision with injuries. Police determined that a vehicle being operated by a 74-year-old woman from East Hartford collided with a 63-year-old man, who was walking across Center Street, according to a crash report.

The man was transported to Hartford Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
