MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester-based Bob’s Discount Furniture, considered to be one of the fastest growing "omni-channel" furniture retailers in the country, has been recognized by Newsweek as one of "America’s Greatest Workplaces" for 2023.

The national award recognizes Bob’s for competitive salaries and benefits, a company culture that values diversity and is open to new ideas, as well as a focus on career development and work-life balance.

Earlier this year, Newsweek also named Bob’s Discount Furniture as one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity” recognizing Bob’s impact and commitment to fostering and celebrating a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Newsweek and the data firm Plant-A Insights Group identified the top 1,000 companies in the United States. The list is based on a large employer survey and a sample of over 61,000 respondents living and working in the U.S. The study collected over 389,000 company reviews.

Bob's was founded in 1991. It now boasts 166 furniture stores across 24 states. It has become the 8th-largest U.S. furniture chain according to Furniture Today. The company also offers a unique shopping experience, featuring cafes in each store with complimentary gourmet coffee, ice cream, cookies and candy.
