MANCHESTER, CT — The beat-up parking area for Laurel Marsh Park could soon get a facelift.

Late last month, Planning and Zoning Commission applications were been submitted for a wetlands permit and flood plain permit to replace the existing Laurel Marsh Park parking lot, located at 864 Middle Turnpike West, town officials said.

The trail system runs along the Hockanum River.
