'Playful Freddie' Ready For A New Home At Manchester Animal Control

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester Animal Control is accepting completed adoption applications for Freddie, a 3-year-old mixed-breed dog described as friendly, playful and eager to meet new people.

The announcement was made Monday.

Freddie, a male with orange brindle markings, is believed to be a mix that may include hound and pit bull-type breeds, according to the shelter.

Animal Control said Freddie is housebroken when given regular opportunities to go outside. Staff described him as cautious around unfamiliar situations but curious enough to investigate new sights and experiences. Although he is hesitant to jump into a vehicle, Freddie rides well in a car once inside.

The shelter also said Freddie enjoys meeting people and has a fascination with butterflies and moths.

Manchester Animal Control said Freddie could be a good fit for a household with other playful pets, depending on compatibility. Prospective adopters are encouraged to submit a completed adoption application. Shelter staff said they will contact applicants whose homes appear to match Freddie's personality and needs.
