MANCHESTER, CT — The public is being invited to comment on the 2022 institutional self-study prepared by Manchester Community College as part of its reaccreditation process.

Every 10 years, accredited institutions must undergo a self-study to demonstrate they are meeting standards established by the New England Commission of Higher Education.

MCC will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit from April 10 through April 13 by a team representing NECHE, formerly the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

The team will recommend a continuing status for the institution to NECHE. Following a review
process, NECHE will take the final action.

NECHE, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, accredits approximately 220
institutions in the six-state New England region as well as several American-style institutions
overseas. MCC has been accredited by the commission since 1971 and was last reviewed in
2012.
