
A couple of years ago, I started coaching a couple that went through a bankruptcy and foreclosure. They now have credit scores in the 700’s. At the time we met, I recommended they look for a property that they could lease with an option to buy. They were fortunate to find a home that fit the bill, the option was for three years, but two years into it, they are qualified and ready to move forward with the purchase.
They will have no issues with the mortgage, as we handled all the credit stuff over the last couple of years. They will be wonderful homeowners. Doing a rent with an option to buy a couple of years ago was a great solution for them and equally so for the current owners.
