Rental Refusal Turns into Drug Arrest in Manchester

The incident began with a call from a car rental business, police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — A call about a man behaving erratically turned into a drug arrest in Manchester on Wednesday, police said.

The man, 32-year-old David Chittick Jr., of Campfield Drive, Manchester, is facing several drug-related charges, according to police records.

He was held on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 28, police records indicate.

The Hartford Courant reported that an employee of the Buckland Street Enterprise Car Rental shop told police he had just locked a man out of the business after he was refused a vehicle because of strange behavior.

Police went to the scene and find steroids and other drugs on him, according to the Courant story. Read more about the arrest here.
