Report Shows Deer Landed Inside Car During Crash In Manchester
A state police report released Friday shows a deer actually landed inside a car and hit the driver after a highway collision in Manchester.
MANCHESTER, CT — A report released by state police Friday morning shows that a deer hit by a vehicle on a stretch of highway in Manchester a day earlier actually landed inside the small sedan.
The crash took place at 7:34 a.m. Thursday on the westbound side of Interstate 384 near Exit 4.
According to a crash report, a 2012 Honda Civic with a 62-year-old Lebanon man behind the wheel was in the left lane. A deer ran in front of the Honda, and, when struck by the car, flew over the hood, slammed through the windshield and hit the driver, according to a crash report.

The report did not estimate the speed of the car.
The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to Hartford Hospital via ambulance, state police said.

State police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call them at the Troop H barracks, 860-534-1000.
