Resident Suffers Burns In Manchester House Fire

MANCHESTER, CT — Firefighters in Manchester made quick work of a blaze at a local residence Thursday morning, but two people were left displaced.

Officials said the fire was at 210 Eldridge Street. Responding crews located flames on the second floor of the single-family house and brought things under control within 10 minutes.

One of the occupants sustained burns and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

No other injuries were reported.

Officials said the home was left uninhabitable and the two adults living there were being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The local fire marshal's office is conducting an investigation for the origin and cause of the fire.
