MANCHESTER, CT — A $20,000 item in an $84 million school improvement project at Waddell Elementary School seems to be taking as many twists and turns as its design.
It's the indoor slide designed for the lobby between the ground and second floors.

The $84 million renovation project, approved by voters two years ago, is planned for Waddell in the 2017-18 academic year school year. The slide is a $20,000 line item in the project budget.
