MANCHESTER, CT — Motorists are bracing for delays next week because of road work in a busy section of Manchester.

Milling and resurfacing work on Tolland Turnpike between Slater Street and Deming Street is set to begin "on

or around Aug 27," officials said.

The work is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete, officials said.

Motorists may expect minor delays on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. as alternating one-way traffic control will be used, officials said.

Access to businesses on Tolland Turnpike will be maintained throughout the construction, officials said.
