Saab Smashes Into State Police Charger During Wild Chase Ending In Manchester
The driver is still being sought.

VERNON, CT - State police are looking for a foreign performance car who smashed into their performance car.
The incident took place on Tuesday at 7:35 p.m., when Trooper Kyle Kaelberer, in a Dodge Charger cruiser, spotted a suspicious-acting driver in a late-model Saab 9.3 exiting the Burger Long near Exit 67 on Interstate-84, according to a news release.
Troopers gave chase westbound near Exit 66 and attempted to box in the Saab, but the driver refused to stop and hit the Charger, causing minor damage, according to a news release.

The driver then tried to take the Saab across the center divider to the eastbound lanes, but became stuck on a steep incline, state police said. The driver was able to get back into the westbound lanes but troopers had to break off the pursuit near Exit 63 in Manchester because of public safety concerns, according to a news release.
State police said the marker plate on the Saab is Connecticut AC-56942.
