School Board Vacancy Filled in Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — The local Republican party has chosen Manchester PTA President Scott Hughes to serve a year-long vacancy on the Board of Education and then run for a three-year term that begins in November 2018.

The appointment was announced recently.

At the local level, Hughes is president of the Martin Elementary School PTA. At the state level he is president of "inclusivity and outreach" for the statewide PTA.
