Scratch Ticket Bought At Manchester Store Leads To $50,000 Win

MANCHESTER, CT — A local CT Lottery player popped the cork on a scratch ticket bought in Manchester and came away with a $50,000 prize this week.

It was one of 21 top-prize tickets for the Super Cashword 23 game and Brian Grzelka cashed it in Wednesday. He bought the $5 ticket at the Cabs And Crafts liquor store, 630 Middle Turnpike East, according to CT Lottery officials. A dozen top prizes were avaible when the ticket was purchased, lottery statistics show.

A total of 10,078,000 tickets were printed for the game and the overall odds of winning some sort of prize is 1 in 3.74.
