“Septic Reports aren’t always Black and White”
I have been going round and round with this septic inspection at first it was
assumed that the septic was not going to pass. I have been working with
the current owner on approximate cost of a new system. In the beginning
of this I asked who determines what is acceptable and what is not. I am
not a septic guy! The seller and her relator are under the impression
that it is fine. Ryan and I are thinking its not. Last night I called
the owner at the septic company and explained my frustrations. I asked
him if he could give me a conclusive answer but he could not come up
with one. Ryan should have sent you a copy of the report please let me
know what you/ your underwriter make of it. Thanks
This septic issue has been going on for a couple of weeks and still no
resolution. I have advised the client to spend the money for another
company as the original report is so ambiguous that my client doesn’t
know if he wants to proceed.
Unfortunately the two Realtors have made this issue personal and it is not moving
forward. Hopefully the client takes my advice and has another report
done, it would be a lot less costly than having to replace the system.
