1 Injured; Manchester Shooting Investigation Continues: Police

MANCHESTER, CT — Police were investigating a shooting Sunday in Manchester, according to authorities, who said the altercation was believed to have left at least one person injured.
“As of this release, there is no one in custody related to this incident and the investigation remains open,” police said. “It was reported earlier that one suspect was in custody, but this was not accurate.”
Officers responded Sunday morning to Seaman Circle for a report of shots fired, according to police. They found evidence confirming a shooting, according to police, who said a witness identified two vehicles that had fled the scene.

Shortly after the incident, a person with gunshot wounds to the lower extremities arrived at Hartford Hospital, according to police, who added the injured party was thought to have been involved in the altercation.
“This appears to be an isolated incident, and investigators are working diligently to identify those individuals involved in the shooting,” police said.
