Snow Squall Delivers About 30 minutes of Fun (Not) on I-84 in Manchester

The highway was quickly covered with snow as the squall moved in for the Thursday morning commute.

MANCHESTER, CT — A quick-moving snow squall during the Thursday morning commute forced traffic heading into Hartford to move not-so-quickly for about a half-hour on Thursday morning.

State police said there were a number of simultaneous spin-outs from Manchester to Hartford just after the squall moved in at about 8:15 a.m. The squall moved in and covered the road with snow. Strong winds also blew snow around and made visibility poor.

The most prominent accident was a tractor-trailer that jackknifed and briefly blocked the road. State police captured a picture of the truck.
