Spray Painting Spree In Manchester Leads To Charges
A man was arrested on Tuesday after a spray incident at the Eversource Energy substation in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — A man was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly spray painting graffiti on a portion of the Eversource Energy electrical substation in Manchester, police said.
Security guards called police at about 7 p.m, to report an active vandalism in progress at the Eversource station at 250 Olcott St., records show. The target of the spray can and artist was a large a large wall on the property, police said.
Officers converged to the area and discovered "extensive graffiti," but the suspect had fled prior to their arrival, police said.

After a search that lasted about 90 minutes the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Darius Burke, was taken into custody.
Burke was charged with first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal trespass and was to appear in Manchester Superior Court on , police said.

The damage was estimated at more than $10,000.
