St. Mary’s Church, Manchester – Building a Wall...to end Hunger

MACC Pantry, Bennet Academy, end hunger

“Wall Out Hunger” Lenten Challenge

The building has begun. Throughout the season of Lent, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church at 41 Park Street will be collecting non-perishable food items and paper goods for the MACC Community Pantry and personal hygiene items for Bennet Academy in Manchester. As a congregation, we have made it our mission to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world and to do our part in ending hunger and eliminating extreme poverty. The items collected will be used to build an actual ‘wall’ in the Baptistery of the church that spanned 12 feet long by 6 feet high. On Palm Sunday the wall will be dismantled and parishioners will deliver the donations to MACC and Bennet. Donations to support MACC and Bennet are welcomed. For more information, call St. Mary's at 860-649-4583 or visit www.stmarysct.org
