A staffing shortage elated to the pandemic has forced a school in Manchester to close early for the long holiday weekend.

MANCHESTER, CT — A staffing shortage related the coronavirus has prompted education officials in Manchester to close Illing Middle School Friday ahead of the long Martin Luther Kind Jr. Holiday, authorities said.
All other schools in Manchester will remain open Friday, officials said.
School officials said the staffing shortage at Illing is "extreme."
