State Police ID Driver Killed In Harrowing Car-Tractor Trailer Crash In Manchester
A car slammed into a truck on a highway ramp in Manchester Thursday.

MANCHESTER, CT — State Police Friday released a report on a harrowing crash between a compact car and tractor-trailer on Interstate-84 in Manchester.
The crash took place at 3:51 a.m. Thursday.
According to a crash report, a tractor-trailer being driven by a 31-year-old Minnesota man was parked on the shoulder of the eastbound Exit 62 off-ramp. The truck was suddenly struck from behind by a 2008 Toyota Prius, according to a crash report.

The driver of the Prius, identified as 22-year-old Lucca Vinicius Santori-Souza, of Hartford, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a crash report.
Images from the scene show the Prius pinned underneath the tractor-trailer from the truck's rear tires to its back bumper.

The truck driver was not injured, according to a crash report.
