Statewide Arts Awards Presented to Cheney Tech Seniors

MANCHESTER, CT — Two seniors from Cheney Tech have been selected to receive Outstanding Arts Awards from the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS). The award is presented annually to two seniors at each CAS member high school who excel in the performing or visual arts. Scholarship and leadership are also supporting criteria in the selection process.

Honorees are Kaitlyn Beebe and Thaiyeba Mahzabin.

An awards ceremony scheduled in April was postponed due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
