Stolen Car Collision Leads To Shots Fire In Manchester: Police

MANCHESTER, CT — A collision between two stolen cars led to shots being fired in Manchester, police said.

At 6:35 a.m. Monday, Manchester officers responded to the area of 378 Hartford Road for a report of a motor vehicle collision. A witness also reported that several "juvenile males" fled the scene of the accident on foot, police said.

A short time later, an alteration between the same boys and bystanders took place in the parking lot of the Mobil station at 427 Hartford Road, police said. One of the boys then shot off a gun and a 48-year-old Manchester man was wounded, police said.

It was not life-threatening injury, police added.

The boys then fled the area in what was reported as a white Acura, police said.

Two cars were involved in the collision on Hartford Road and both were stolen, police said.
