dancEnlight is a nonprofit multi-cultural professional modern dance company led by artistic director Lorelei Chang and is currently in residence at the Connecticut Concert Ballet. Lorelei has designed the Summer Intensive program with a refreshing and innovative approach combining both Western and Eastern philosophy and introducing different disciplines and art forms. Classes will include Ballet, Acting through Action, Hip Hop, Chinese Classical Dance, Martial Arts, Improvisation, Modern Dance Technique and more. Students will take five classes a day.
The dancEnlight Summer Intensive for Teens will accept a limited enrollment of aspiring dancers ages 13-19. Admittance is by audition. Through participation in the two-week intensive program and performance, the artistic director, Lorelei Chang, will select qualified dancers for dancEnlight’s junior company for the 2013-2014 season.
New this year, two one-week scholarships will be offered to the most outstanding students at the audition.
