Unitarian Universalist Society: East to host Sunday afternoon concert series

The Unitarian Universalist Society: East (UUS:E) will host a series of Sunday afternoon concerts.
First up is Tonal Eclipse on September 22, 2019, at 4:00 p.m.
Tonal Eclipse is a talented and entertaining all-female a cappella vocal quartet who prioritize having fun. They sing barbershop, jazz, classics, Broadway, oldies, cheeky classical and a few pop songs from this century. They are non-controversial, fun, sometimes funny and always awesome.

Next is The Amuse Blues Jazz Trio on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at 4 p.m.
Paul Shumsky (guitarist), Ryan Ford (double bassist), and Steve Dauphinais (drummer), will bring their unique flavor to familiar numbers, performing an eclectic mix ranging from Cole Porter and Kurt Weill to Henry Mancini and Gabriel Faure.

An eclectic guitarist, Paul Shumsky has performed at Boston Symphony Hall under the direction of Gunther Schuller; with the band, Wildest Dreams which he co-managed specializing in Afropop, Carribean, funk and Brazilian styles and now, The Amuse Blues Jazz Trio playing his favorite music, improvisational jazz.
Ryan Ford, double bassist, has performed at Carnegie Hall with the National Festival Orchestra under the baton of Lukas Foss and has attended more than 10 summer sessions with legendary solo bassist, Gary Karr. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from The Hartt School.
Steve Dauphinais, drummer has performed with groups including the City Lights Jazz Orchestra, the Guinea Pigs, and Pop Omelette in styles including rock, folk-rock and jazz.
There is a suggested donation of $15 ($10 for students, free for age 10 and under) but no one is turned away.
