The GoFundMe narrative says:

"Mike is the kindest, sweetest, most giving person I have ever met in my life. He would do absolutely anything for anyone, but now he's the one that needs the favor returned. Eve was hit by a speeding car tonight. She went to cross the street back to her house, and the speeding car hit her, causing her to break her pelvis, along with two other smaller breaks on her hips. Eve is a gentle, loving dog who is everything to Mike. They are best friends, and both deserve the world.
"I know we can't all give the world, but ANYTHING you can provide would be so welcome. Please! Open your hearts and wallets for this poor little girl who is suffering badly and will need her pelvis rebuilt. They both are amazing spirits in this world and right now they need support."

"Anything" so far has meant pledges ranging from $100 to $55 to $10, according to the GoFundMe page.
