Suspect In Custody After Fatal Fight At Manchester Hotel

A suspect was in custody on a high bond after a fatal fight at a Manchester hotel, records show.

MANCHESTER, CT — A suspect in a fatal accident involving a truck and a fight outside a Manchester hotel over the weekend remained in custody on a $200,000 bond Tuesday.

Octavio Barron, 30, whose listed address is in Charlotte, N.C., has been charged twice with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, second-degree reckless endangerment, recklss driving and second-degree breach of peace, according to court records. He was arraigned Monday and is to appear again in court on Aug. 8, according to judicial system records.

According to case records, the incident took place at about 11 p.m. Saturday, at the the Extended Stay America hotel at 340 Tolland Turnpike. When police arrived, they found 27-year-old Ramiro Francisco Onorato on the ground. He had apparently been hit by a pickup truck, according to case records. He was pronounced dead less than an hour later after being taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, according to case records.

Barron works for a Charlotte-based electrical contractor and was in Manchester visiting another company crew working in the area, according to case records.
