Suspects In Manchester Mall Brawl Identified

Three teenaged females and an armed juvenile male were arrested in connection with Wednesday night's incident at the Buckland Hills mall.

MANCHESTER, CT — Police have identified three of the four persons arrested Wednesday night following a large fight at the Buckland Hills mall which resulted in temporary closure of the mall's interior and assistance from several neighboring law enforcement agencies.

The arrestees are Dynastee McCoy, 19, of Wethersfield; Inaeja Williams, 18, of Hartford; and Naejza Bates, 18, of New Britain. Each was charged with second-degree inciting a riot, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with police.

A 17-year-old male, whom police would not identify due to his age, was found to be in possession of a .22 caliber Taurus 228 handgun, tucked into his waistband. He was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, second-degree inciting a riot, first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with police.

Police estimated 200 to 300 people, most of them juveniles, were involved in a large fight around 6 p.m., which degenerated into numerous disturbances in the mall's interior and exterior, Lt. Ryan Shea said.

Additional police presence is scheduled at the mall for the time being, Shea said.
