We haven’t been on a train for years, so we decided, let’s do it. My wife’s birthday was January 5th and one of her gifts was the Broadway show “Motown”. Our plan was to take the train out of New London, Ct.
The train ended up 45 minutes late, but we had left ourselves an hour extra, just in case. We were on our way to Penn Station. The theater was only 10 blocks so we were going to have a few minutes to spare for the 2:00 matinee. We had amazing orchestra seats and if there was room we would have been dancing in the aisles. The play was extraordinary and if you ever have the opportunity go see it. It is worth the price of admission.
We even made the reservation we had at Scarlatto Restaurant on 47th and close to the theater and made our 7 PM return train ride back to CT. We didn’t have to worry about fighting traffic come out of NYC. We had a great experience taking the train and we’ll do it again.
Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife, I adore that woman. She deserves only good in her life as she always makes my life that much better, I am truly blessed.
