Teen Stabbed During Planned Encounter On Trail In Manchester: Police
A teen was rushed to the hospital after a rail trail meeting turned violent, Manchester police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — An arranged meeting on a trail in Manchester led to a teen being stabbed, police said.
At 4:23 p.m. Sunday, Manchester police responded to a report of a stabbing on the Cheney Rail Trail near 91 Elm St. Officers located a 15-year-old boy there with a stab wound, according to an incident report.
Manchester officers and a crew from the Manchester Fire Department provided medical aid at the scene and the boy was subsequently transported to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center for further treatment according to an incident report.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the individuals involved arranged to meet on the trail, according to an incident report. As of Monday morning, no arrests have been made, and the investigation was still active, police said. The extent of the teen's wound was not disclosed.
The Manchester Police Department is asking that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could aid the investigation to contact officers at 860-645-5500.
