Tipped Truck Dumps Fuel on New State Road in Manchester
Leaking fuel from the crash forced authorities to close New State Road in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — A home heating oil truck tipped over on New State Road on Tuesday, forcing police, firefighters and environmental crews to close a section of the street because of a fuel leak.
Police reported the crash at 2:38 p.m.
Police said New State Road was closed between Hilliard Street and West Middle Turnpike while crews cleaned up the scene.

A crew from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was called to the scene, police said.
The timing of the crash could have been much worse if East Catholic High School had been in session. Classes were called off because of weather this morning so the crash did not affect dismissal traffic.
