Tractor Trailer Wreck Causes Major Mess In Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — A jack-knifed tractor-trailer in Manchester on Interstate 84 is making travel very difficult, especially during Monday's massive rain/wind storm.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the truck crashed on Interstate 84 West between exits 60 and 61.

As a result, the two left lanes of I-84 West are closed, according to the DOT.

In addition, the DOT reports that the left lane of I-84 East was also closed because of the same accident, but that has, since, reopened.

The crash was first reported at 8:20 a.m. and as of 9:52 a.m., it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident list, indicating it is cleared.
