Tribute To POWs, Deceased Vets Sits In Quiet Corner Of Manchester
Manchester has a cemetery dedicated to prisoners of war and deceased veterans.

MANCHESTER, CT — One of the town's most moving tributes to prisoners of war and to veterans who have passed on sits in a quiet section of Manchester
It's the veterans cemetery at 180 Hillstown Road, near Manchester Community College.
This Hillstown Veterans Cemetery is accompanied by the Veterans Memorial Soccer Field and Rope Course.

It features the traditoinal white stone veterans graves, along with flags and a monument.
The monument is inscribed:

"Salute to all veterans To all who served. Veterans Council of Manchester, November 11, 1998."
A square with the image "POW-MIA ... You are not forgotten" is also featured.
The American flag and the POW-MIA flag fly above the monument, which is made of Barre gray granite, the Manchester Historical Society tells us.
