Undercover Operation Nabs Suspected Drug Dealer in Manchester

Police said they have arrested a drug dealer who sold narcotics to an undercover officer.

MANCHESTER, CT — Police said they have arrested a drug dealer who sold narcotics to an undercover officer.

On Aug. 24, The East Central Narcotics Task Force conducted a buy-bust operation in Manchester after receiving information that a man who goes by the street name “Q” has been selling crack cocaine.

“Q” was later identified as 34-year-old Courtney Gravely, police said. Gravely was found selling crack cocaine at a gas station at Adams Hillard streets in Manchester and wound up conducting transactions with an undercover officer on multiple occasions, police said.

The task force obtained three warrants for his arrest and charged him with narcotics possession and the sale of narcotics. At the time of Gravely’s arrest, he had crack cocaine in his possession for sale, police said.

Each arrest warrant carried a court-set bond of $75,000 and another $150,000 came with the Aug. 24 charges, police said.

Task force members seized Gravely’s cell phones, crack cocaine and other drug paraphernalia, according to a report.

Gravely is also currently on federal probation for the distribution of crack cocaine, police said.
