Untimely Death Being Investigated In Manchester

Manchester police were investigating an untimely death on Wednesday.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police are investigating an untimely death in the area of Main and Center streets.

Police said a 70-year-old woman was found on the ground outside 35 Center St. at 8:15 a.m.

The death is not being considered suspicious and was of natural causes, but an increased police presence was in the area for some time during Wednesday.

Police were not releasing the name of the woman on Wednesday afternon, pending next-of-kin notofication, but did say she was from Manchester. The Office of the State Medical Examiner is assisting with the investigation, police said.
