Upgrades Proposed For Building On Manchester-Vernon Line

MANCHESTER, CT — A rustic-looking building that sits among the car dealerships on the Manchester-Vernon line can soon be primed for a makeover.

Manchester planning officials Thursday said an Planning and Zoning Commission application has been submitted for 5 and 7 Tolland Turnpike that requests a Special Exception Modification for several improvements. The work would include the addition of a 756-square-foot car wash to an existing service garage building, new siding, roofing, new paint and garage doors, planning officials said.

The property includes a multi-bay garage that is showing signs of age. A local car dealership also stores some inventory there.
