Vehicle Takes Out Utility Pole In Manchester
Repairs to a pole severed Wednesday night spilled into Thursday morning in Manchester, police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — A vehicle took out a utility police in Manchester late Wednesday night, police said.
According to the Manchester Police Department's new Atlas alert system, the crash took place at about 11:30 p.m. near the Oakland Street and Rachel Road intersection.
The utility pole was severed, police said.

At 5:30 a.m., the road was still shut down to all traffic while Frontier Communications worked to fix the pole, police said. It reopened completely at 12:07 p.m., according to police.
CT Transit and the Daatco school bus company were advised to seek alternate morning routes.

Power was out in the area during portions of the repair work. By 9 a.m., Eversource Energy was reporting full restoration.
