Throughout the season of Lent, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church at 41 Park Street collected non-perishable food items, paper goods and toiletries for the MACC Community Pantry. As a congregation we have made it our mission to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world and to do our part in ending hunger and eliminating extreme poverty in our community. The items collected were used to build an actual ‘wall’ in the Baptistery of the church that spanned 12 feet long by 6 feet high. On Palm Sunday the wall was dismantled and parishioners in 6 vehicles delivered the donations to MACC. For more information and pictures check out stmarysct.org
