WEATHER UPDATE: Manchester's Stormy Weekend Forecast
Once again thunderstorms and rain are possible this weekend.
We had been on a roll of having gorgeous weather weekends for the past six weeks or so, but that is about to change somewhat this weekend.
It’s not a complete washout as Saturday is definitely the best weather day of the weekend.
In reality the best weather is forecast for today with sunny skies and temps in the high 70s in southern Connecticut and into the mid 80s in the northern part of the state.

For Saturday, showers and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon hours along the southern half of the state, while there appears to be no rain threat in the northern half of the state on Saturday.
Plenty of sun is also forecast for Saturday with highs between 77-83 in Connecticut with cooler temps at the shoreline.

On Saturday night, thunderstorms are possible for the entire state and that carries over into Sunday.
Fog may also be an issue late Saturday/early Sunday and then it will be cloudy all day on Sunday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day and evening.
Here is Manchester’s latest hyperlocal National Weather Service forecast:
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.
Friday Night: Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 61. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph.
Saturday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 82. South wind 6 to 14 mph.
Saturday Night: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after midnight. Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 64. South wind 6 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Sunday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Patchy fog before 7am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 72. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Sunday Night: Showers likely. Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 50. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
