WEATHER UPDATE: Several Alerts Issued for Manchester

As storms are moving north, the National Weather Service is warning residents about the potential for bad weather.

A Special Weather Statement, Flash Flood Watch, and Hazardous Weather Outlook have all been issued for the area.

The National Weather Service reports that heavy downpours are coming and that rainfall of 1 to 2 inches per hour can be expected.

Evening commuters are being warned about poor visibility and ponding of water on the roads.

The Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

“Rapid and significant flooding of urban areas is possible. Small streams may rise out of their banks and flood low lying areas,” writes the National Weather Service.
